OFF-BROADWAY
HAS A WINNER….
paying homage to the Fred-and Ginger movie
musicals. I loved it!
Christine Dolen, Miami Herald Theatre Critic
When three dancers finish “Tough Job,” they have just completed the most
dazzling production number in
town this year.
For this to work as an homage and not just a send-up,
composer-lyricists Dennis West and Mr. Briggs must sound almost as good as the
great composers of the period.
It’s an achievement that they do so….
MERRY
MELODIES
…The magic of theatre boils down to enthusiasm.
The root word entheos
means inspired, possessed, infused by the breath
of divine life.
This almost otherworldly joy and energy
expresses itself only when a show is superbly
written, is actors first-rate, and the direction truly enhances the work. That’s exactly
what occurs with a new musical called Crazy
Love . I consider it one of my finest
theater experiences.
WONDERFUL
SET, LAVISH COSTUMES
…If you adore any of the Fred Astaire/Ginger Rogers musicals this is a
fun-filled evening for
sure.
John Hink, Pompano Ledger, Theatre Critic
SETTLING THE
SCORE
…Crazy
Love is
an example of the young tradition of the “new,
old musical.”
It is a gorgeous and gaudy throwback that
borrows from the archives, attics and dustbins
of all that is great and some that was grotesque
in American musical comedy…. It is danced and
acted and written with panache.
It is the finest example of mimicry I have
seen on the legitimate stage in years….
Jack
Zink, Ft. Lauderdale Sun Sentinel, Theatre Critic
A
JOYOUS EVENING IN THE THEATRE
…A big, splashy
musical…Crazy Love is
a joyous evening in the theatre. It is fresh, alive
and blessed with great talents.
Buddy Clarke, Florida Digest,
Theatre Critic
Named the Best
musical for two seasons by the Atlanta Constitution.
Named
the Best New Musical
by the Miami Herald.
